PAL (Term 1) - Performing Arts

Dear Innovators,

I am sure you have been enjoying your lessons for Programme for Active Learning (PAL) with MDM Hu just by looking at the photos that I received and the feedbacks given by your facilitators.

Unlike other lessons, in PAL, you will be exposed to varied and fun learning experiences in 4 domains: Sports and Games, Outdoor Education, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. You will learn some Social Emotional Learning skills that will equip you with ways to understand yourself, the people around you and also to foster a better relationship with your group mates. Through PAL, you will learn to be a more confident learner that is full of curiosity and are able to collaborate with the people around you.

Classroom decoration

Dear Parents,

I would like to express my gratitude to those who had taken the time off to join me and your child at the class decoration held on Friday, 13th January 2017. It was great to meet you and also to see some of the parents interacting with one another very well. I hope we may continue to strengthen the partnership and cooperation in providing a meaningful education for the students.

Thank you.

Holistic Assessment (HA) Schedule

Hi Innovators!

I trust that you have received the Holistic Assessment Schedule on Friday. On the schedule, you will find the Week, Dates and Topics that you will be assessed on.

You will observe that the Total Weightage is 0% for Term 1, but that does not mean you should take the assessment lightly. Do prepare yourself beforehand by revising your work regularly. If there is any topic or concepts that you are not sure about, do approach your teachers and parents for help.

Below are the schedules given:

Dear Parents,

I would like to seek your help to acknowledge that you have received the HA Schedule by signing on the bottom-half of the cover page and return it back to me through your child.

Mathematics - Numbers to 10

Hi Innovators!

Today we have recap on Counting numbers to 10 and you did great!

There are 3 things ways you should be able to do by now:

  • Counting the number of items by looking at a picture.
  • Identify and state the correct number.
  • Spell out the number in word.
Today we moved on to comparing numbers within 10.
You will learn how and when to use the terms 'the same as', 'more than', 'fewer than', 'greater' and 'smaller'.

Below are two videos that you can take a look to understand the concept better :)

Recess Buddy with 4 Integrity / Temperature-taking exercise

Hi Innovators!

The first week of school is already over and you have already grew independent in so many ways. To help you settle well into the school environment, some of the P3s and P4s have volunteered to be your buddy for 3 days.

As of yesterday you were already learning to buy your own food and getting to know the school a lot better with the help of your wonderful buddies from Primary 4 Integrity.

You will soon be exploring the school further with your group of friends and enjoying the wonderful spread of food that the stall owners have cooked for you.

Today we had our first-ever Temperature-taking exercise in class. You did really well in managing the thermometer given to you and also noting down your temperature on your handbook. Well done!

Dear Parents/Guardian,

The students have been assigned with their own thermometer. I have labelled each thermometer with their names on it and will be keeping them with me for future use. Thank you for assisting me in ensuring that they brought along wet & dry tissues today. 😊😊
